The following template description is not displayed when the template is inserted in an article.

Goal

This template is used internally for date formatting by {{ISOdate}}.

Usage

{{date|YYYY|MM|DD}}

The template will accept the date in the following three formats:

• YYYY, for example 2026
• YYYY-MM, for example 2026-08
• YYYY-MM-DD, for example 2026-08-14
